This non-West-Trak, ZX870 excavator bucket had some major structural cracking issues and needed urgent repairs. Problems with the design and engineering of this bucket contributed to the cracks, as well as the tough mining environment it works in.
West-Trak carried out the repair job with a better than new outcome for the customer. A new 80mm thick, high tensile Cutting Edge was fitted with hammerless StarMet Adapters/Teeth and pin-on ProMet Lip Protectors.
The new spade shape cutting edge has made significant improvements to our customer’s productivity, with faster cycle times and increased ground penetration.
