Based in Canterbury, Alex Mason Contracting takes on a range of projects, from site preparation to riverbed maintenance and rural earthworks. This machine is currently tackling a ford on the Eyre River, working its way downstream to re-shape and repair the riverbed for multiple road crossings.
The Komatsu D65 is a proven workhorse, but in this environment, even the toughest machines need reliable undercarriage components. West-Trak supplied the complete setup — SALT chains, track shoes, rollers, idlers, and sprocket segments — all built to handle New Zealand’s harsh working conditions.
It’s early days for this track gear, but the Dozer is already making light work of the Eyre river’s gravel. With a robust new undercarriage fitted, it’s ready to deliver years of dependable service.
