Heavy Duty, curved Transfer Chute for Sims Pacific Metals,
A 4m long x 3m high, 4.5 tonne, curved chute was built from G450, 12mm thick abrasion resistant steel and fully lined inside with 13mm thick, bolt-on, SA1750 Chromium Carbide (CC) plates for maximum wear resistance. Threaded studs were fitted to the back of CC plate liners for ease of replacement.
This duct is used for processing all types of heavy scrap steel objects, including crushed car bodies. The ultimate combination of wear steels have been used for this high impact, high abrasion application to provide the longest possible service life.
